 Cota proposes original and colorful pieces of jewelry
 ✢ using

✺ colors in harmony with the seasons;

✺ motifs inspired by famous artists's paintings and different cultures;

✺ quality materials made in France (silver925, brass, wood, resin);

✢ creating

✺ very light still pieces still resisting (shocs, heat, water);

✺ harmonious structures with light mouvements and exciting proportions.

COTA’s pieces of jewelry are inspired by different visual traditions such as African, Asian or South-American arts. However, as a researcher in Medieval Islamic arts, my primary source of inspiration are Arabic calligraphy and Islamic geometric patterns which I use in a modernized and simplified way in order to correspond to contemporary taste and design. If COTA’s objects are unique, it’s not only because each of them is individually designed, but, unlike traditionally handcrafted objects of art, these necklaces, earrings and bracelets are largely improvised. These objects of improvisation are born of the association of colors and shapes in order to create harmonies, contrasts, balanced or slightly unbalanced compositions of noble materials such as silver, wood and leather into which we integrate miniature paintings and calligraphies. The use of resin makes possible to make these small objects resistant still extremely light and confortable to wear.
